Waku had recently criticised Oritsejafor’s address
before the United States Congress’ Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health
and Human Rights, saying the cleric’s comments were capable of dividing
the country.
But MBF youths questioned Waku’s credibility, saying he lacked the credential to talk.
In
a statement in Jos on Sunday, Asake, said, “We are baffled that Waku, a
Christian (if he truly is) and indeed a Middle Belter could make such
unwarranted comments on the leadership of Christians in Nigeria, knowing
fully well the activities of the dreaded Islamic terrorists known as
Boko Haram which has been bombing and killing innocent Nigerians,
especially Christians in the northern part of the country.
“Waku’s outburst presents him as a desperate agent paid by his masters to execute an agenda.”
Also, a former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi
Fani-Kayode, has backed Oritsejafor for urging the US to declare Boko
Haram a terrorist organisation.
